Updated 9/28/2008

Updated 4/1/2008  A password protected MySQL Database has been incorporated to manage membership information including donation tracking and Crime Watch zone locations.  For the MSF Board of Directors, there is a contact information data form. Automated Mass-Mailing, Label printing, and Emailing applications are completed and functioning. The finance reporting application is also installed.

The Meridian Street Foundation Website has been updated and there many new features for the site visitor.  The Meridian Street Foundation (MSF) and the Meridian Street Preservation Commission (MSPC) have separate “home pages” that make the site easier to navigate.  The membership lists for the MSF Board of Directors and the various committees have been updated.  New functionality has been incorporated to allow the visitor to email the MSF committee chairpersons with comments and questions regarding their committees.  A calendar has been added to the site for all upcoming MSF and related neighborhood events. Also updated are the MSPC resource documents for aiding residents in petitioning the Commission for approval of Certificates of Appropriateness and changes in variances.

The site has interactive photo albums of the homes and Google Maps are incorporated into the site allowing the visitor to search for specific addresses.  Also included are interactive Google Street View Maps that give the visitor the capability to virtually “drive” around the neighborhood (i.e., the visitor can “backup”, “turn corners”, etc. to navigate the streets) looking at the homes, shops, etc.  A section has been added with current North Meridian Street Historic District homes for sale.

Current plans include adding a featured topic section, which may include special photo tours of homes, Alice Carter Park, and other subjects of interest. The website will continue to grow in all aspects so the visitor will want to come back to view new features and functionality routinely.  Don’t forget to bookmark the site for convenient future use!
